I think it's more about things that are NOT related to medicine (music, sports, travelling, etc). Not saying you shouldn't put it in there, I just wouldn't fill the entire section with it. Shadowing just lets them know you've had a bit of exposure to medicine, so I don't think you should waste space on listing specific specialties you've shadowed, how much, etc, just mention it in passing.
