Guest worried
Hey, I am sort of worried about my chances. I have heard horror stories of people with 4.0's and 13's on the MCAT not getting interviews. I have a 3.82, and my MCATS were 33. Lots of extra curricular stuff and I think my essay was good ( cuz my mom said so ). Can some current med school applicants or students tell me my realistics chances. Also, are 3rd year students at a disadvantage in the application procedure, do they consider them after 4th year canadites. I think this may just be a rumor at my school. Guest YongQ
You have a reasonable chance of getting an interview. I know this doesn't help much, but really, ecessive worrying is the worst thing you can do when you're applying to med school. Why? Because knowing that your chances are good won't help you. Furthermore, knowing that your chances are poor will hurt your confidence, make you neurotic, make you incontinent, etc. Really, just chill and keep enjoying life while you wait it out...
