leviathan
Does anyone know where to buy the Cardio III for cheap? I'm trying to find one for a classmate but the cheapest he can find it is $200. I got mine for $150 a few years ago, but can't remember from where. Also, any tips on where to get an ophthalmoscope for cheap?

ToHellInAHandbasket
http://www.steeles.com It's an American site. I got a Littman Cardio 3 for $170 Canadian including laser engraving with my name and shipping. I'm not sure what else they carry as I only needed a 'scope for my EMR training. But it's worth checking out. It was the best deal I found anywhere. They shipped it right away as well. I think I got it within 5 days (UPS). Guest p0stman
Out of curiosity, how do you figure out which size you are? Seems like they come in 22", 27", and 28". Does everyone get the 27"?
cheech10
It's not what size you are so much as how close you want to get to the patient, and how much you might have to move your body to be able to reach for the full exam. Most people go for a longer one (27-28"); there is a small decrease in sound intensity with the longer tubing, not really important for most people.
