Hey there,

Optometry is off on its own. The only English-speaking school in Canada is at the University of Waterloo (1). The only French school in Canada is (I believe) at U Montreal. Like medicine, opto is a second-entry program. This means you have to do some university work before you can apply - three years I think. The program is four years long, giving you a Doctor of Optometry (DO...correction: OD) degree once you graduate.

Waterloo used to offer a pre-opt program, but I think they might have folded it into their Bachelor of Health (or whatever they're calling it) program. I'm too lazy to look it up myself, but you might want to poke around the UW website.

Cheers,

pb
