Computing at Western??

I'm tossing aside the ancient toshiba laptop I had for undergrad, and making the switch to a Apple (always been an Apple person at heart).

 

I am wondering if anyone out there uses an Apple computer on campus and has had any difficulties wrt networking, wireless access, files that we're expected to have access to, etc. I understand that the campus is going wireless, but I am double checking that I won't be shooting myself in the foot making the switch.

Your new Mac will work just fine. In fact, Apples have been taking over UWO over the 4 years I was there. Every single one of my professors who used PowerPoint this year had a Mac. So no worries...

 

PS - I'll see you on August 31st...Orientation will be a riot!
