I'd heard a rumour that most schools interview everyone for my discipline of choice. peachy Posted December 31, 2010 Report Share Posted December 31, 2010 If you didn't get an interview somewhere you were really interested -- call or email them and let them know how much you love their program and how much you'd love to interview there. It's a pretty common thing to do, and you'll often be successful in getting yourself an interview. Imho the whole process is more stressful and competitive than people make it out to be. Particularly since after the fact folks are pretty vocal if they got their first choice, and then stay quiet (or lie!) if they didn't, which makes it seem like more people get what they want than actually do.
