Guest Akamba
Hi, I am an Comp Engineering graduate(97), and I want to go to Med School, specifically Ottawa. I know I have to take some prerequisite courses before I can apply. One of these courses I took back in First year in 92 and I got a low mark. If I take the other courses I need and do extremely well, do you think it can make up for the low scoring course?
Guest Ian Wong
Have you seen this link yet? www.uottawa.ca/academic/med/admissions.pdf On page 8 of 18, it talks about the way U of Ottawa calculates their weighted GPA. I didn't apply to Ottawa, so perhaps there's something else I'm missing here, but on my reading of this statement, that low course doesn't sound like it would be taken into account. Someone please correct me if I've overlooked something. Ian UBC, Med
