Guest thegypsy
Hi! I hope that someone can help me.... I am a bit confused... My first 2 years of university consisted of 5 credits (full course load) but in my third year, I only took 4.5. I am currently taking a summer course, which will bring my overall credit number up to par, but will this affect my applications for the fall? I've noticed that U of T has a weighting system that may not work to my benefit... Will they see my summer credit as included in my third year? Thanks in advance for your help! - a. Guest J
U of T has a weighting system that is used if and only if you have a full course load every year (5 credits finished from Sept.-Apr.). If not, you'll still be eligible to apply, but they won't give you their weighting formula, which for 4th year applicants is (best 2 years GPA (e.g. 3.8 + 3.9)+ (worst year GPA)/2) all divided by 2.5. Other than that, they don't disfavour you in their admissions process. I don't think a 4.5 credit year really matters to any of the other Ontario schools, as long as you do have 5 credits in your final year (the year you apply)...
