human instinct Posted February 3, 2011 Report Share Posted February 3, 2011 So..I received a job offer letter via email 2 days ago with a range mentioned typically offered by the organization for that role and offering me 5k less than the max. I sent a counter offer requesting somewhere between max to max+5k on the same night. I have not heard back and it has been more than 30 hours since my email. What should i do? Can they outright reject me..im really worried...should i call them asap tomorrow? and if so what should i say? im just feeling worried that i have not heard back at all so any guidance on what steps i should take will help. thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've never heard of an employer not being able to reject you outright based on salary negotiations, that being said I don't know your situation.
