Akmed89
Is anyone else starting to freak out? I am!!! Some days I start daydreaming about what would happen if I get accepted, other times its the other way around... Hopefully everything works out fine for everyone, keep fingers crossed
new user name
I have begun to have dreams of both situations (accepted and refused).. lol. So I'd like to know so I can start sleeping regularly!
deeman101
I am!!! Some days I start daydreaming about what would happen if I get accepted LOL. If you get accepted, you'll be ecstatic for the rest of the summer, very happy for the first few months of med1, and then reality sets in after and you go back to networking, researching, getting references, etc. for residency. Eva1987
me too, i feel so stressed out about a final decision. Also, i find that at a first glance the majority of aplicants (in my interview group) were well rounded, friendly, interesting to talk. it's hard to imagine on which criteria they will distinguish between us
Dominique615
Gah! I'm freaking out/trying to resist planning 4 years in Montreal pretty much on a daily basis. It's hard not to replay everything that happened during the MMIs and think about what you could have said or done differently. And I totally agree with Eva1987, I really couldn't pick out any 'duds' on the 22nd am interview....so I guess the waiting game continues.
smokingbird
22nd pm was the same way! Everyone really impressed me, and thus, probably the judges as well. This was definitely a much more competitive pool of interviewees compared to last year.
Eva1987
me too I was in 22 pm..If it was up to me, I would take almost everyone. I felt that the majority of people come with different life experiece, certainly beyond lab research and general volunteering. And at least we know that who ever gets in really deserves it (at least from 22nd pm pool)
Akmed89
The group from the morning of the 21st was the same. Very few people were completing their undergraduate, most are either masters students or have been working/volunteering in exceptional areas... Eva1987
I'm still wondering, what we were rated on in "non-medical scenarios"?
new user name
I'm still wondering, what we were rated on in "non-medical scenarios"? My guess is communication skills, general ability to listen and interact with a new person, adapting on the spur of the moment when the situation changed.. Drakoulias
Anyone else from 21st pm? They could divide the group in basically any way and still end up with incredibly strong choices! I don't know how they're possibly going to choose. Something like 10 days left until we know how things turn out!

Drakoulias
Only about 891 505 seconds to go 242 hours might be a more optimistic way of thinking about it...
RiceWine
242 hours might be a more optimistic way of thinking about it... wow. it's been 2 weeks! 1 more week to go (how do you guys know it'll come out on the Friday though?)
Drakoulias
wow. it's been 2 weeks! 1 more week to go (how do you guys know it'll come out on the Friday though?) That's what we were told at the interview (not that I'd complain if we found out this Friday instead). I'm guessing we'll all get e-mails at 5pm EST, similar to the interview invites. Drakoulias
Michel Dansereau told our group at the post MMI debrief session (22nd pm) that invites were going out end of day Friday the 18th. I think the exact wording was 'three fridays from now'. Wouldn't that correspond with THIS Friday though?
RiceWine
Wouldn't that correspond with THIS Friday though? I know the A.M group was told 3-4 weeks....but if it's gonna be this Friday wow! exciting
deeman101
Yea they send out decisions 5pm. Right when they go home so you can't call them, haha. I didn't know the decision was gonna come so late last year so I was like worried about it the whole day.
Akmed89
I'm guessing we'll all get e-mails at 5pm EST, similar to the interview invites. Unless the same problem happens with certain people that didn't get the email until after the weekend . That was a horrible weekend for me
lb88
so what's the verdict on when we find out? do you really think it could be this friday? I definitely interpreted it as being the 18th. either way it's nice of mcgill to let us know almost 2 entire months before most other schools in canada
