Volunteer work

Hi guys,

 

I would probably say that I have much left to learn regarding the road to med school, and I apologize in advance if this question has been asked too much.

 

I am currently in my final year in college and wish to transfer to undergrad sciences after I finish attaining some high school credits (Bio, Chem, and Calc). Long story short It's because I came from a different school system and my transcript apparently wasn't grade 12 OSSD equivalent.

 

Anyway I am thinking about doing volunteer work and was wondering if there was any advice or recommendations people could give me on what and where to apply for that would be best for me to do while studying (i.e. something with flexible hours). I was going to just walk into St. Michael's hospital and ask if I could do volunteer work but I thought I'd see if I could learn more here first.
