The second task in the writing sample is always to give an example opposing the statement. Is it frowned upon to give more than one example?

No, as long as they're relevant and well described.. but do you mean two specific examples under one general point, or two separate points? If the latter, you may not have enough time to synthesize everything in that 30 min.

Your overall task is to present a unified essay. If your examples are not related in terms of how they fit into what you're trying to get at in the 3rd task, you will likely be penalized. If you come up with a few strong examples of the same phenomenon you're trying to explain, and succeed in explaining them, your paper is that much better!

Hi there,

You certainly do have the freedom to provide more than one example, but you might find that you are pressed for time to mention more than one. :)

Cheers,

Kirsteen
