Hieu
If I understand well, Mcgill's MDCM has more electives and clerkships in surgery than any other MD programs in Québec. What Chirurgiae Magistrum stands for ?

over9000
They have more elective choices (http://www.medicine.mcgill.ca/ugme/electives/electives_list_en.htm) but they seem on par with UdeM about the core clerkship.
Hieu
I mean why McGill has a MDCM and others universities have a MD ? Are you really better in surgery with a MDCM instead of a MD ?

No there's no difference whatsoever. They're totally equivalent diplomas (like DMD = DDS). There isn't a bigger emphasis on surgery at McGill. FinallyPreMed
The only reason McGill calls it MDCM, is because of tradition. It was called like that when the school first opened, and then it never changed, when the other schools did change their appelation.
