Soenuedo
Hey guys, So as you know, a lot of schools like McGill requires a full year equivalent of General Chemistry WITH lab component. Now for those of you who don't know... here at U of T, the Chemistry courses are a bit weird... We half half year of Gen. and Orgo Chem in first year with lab, and then in second year, we can take another half of Gen Chem which is CHM220, but it does not have a lab component. We don't really have a "general chemistry" course; our first year and second year courses are physical chemistry, and it's not general at all, as it goes into quantum, thermodynamics, and reaction kinetics. The only other non-Orgo chem courses that have lab components are Analytic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry, which are intended for Chemistry majors, and they're not general at all... Did anyone come across this hurdle and can provide some feedback? :S Thanks, Soe
shikimate
I heard people just take CHM217. It's a bit harder but I think it satisfies most school's requirements. Also people go to UTM or UTSC to take their chem courses (or just go to Ryerson).

HBP
The lame part is that CHM139H is an exclusion for both intro physical chem courses at UTSC.

So there is no choice but to take CHM238 or 217 then? I've heard that u can make it up by taking BCH370, not sure if this is true?
