Guest booty911
How does MUN look at students who did a 5th year in university when applying to medical school? i.e. graduating and then going back for a year of just general studies. Are there certain criteria that must be met? i.e. full course load. Any response to this question is greatly appreciated. :rollin
Guest yves m
I am sure they won't mind you doing a fifth year. Just don't do it aimlessly. In other words, have a set plan and a good explanation for why you are doing it. Also, if you are not doing a full course load, make sure you get good marks and have a full day-to-day schedule with extra-curriculars. Don't end up having to tell them, "I just wanted to take it easy for a year." I don't think a year of courses with no direction will impress them too much. Try and complete a minor or something like that. Or pick up some physiology, anatomy courses, or medically related courses, etc. to show that you are interested in the body and you wanted to gain some more knowledge in this area.
