Introns
Hi all, I’m scheduled to open a student banking account later this week, but I was just wondering if I should wait until I start school in fall before doing so as I have heard that some banks would offer a special premium for current med students. thanks! A-Stark
No reason not to open it now - you could discuss line-of-credit options for medical students at that time as well. Sure they'll be happy to give you the info. You won't get any kind of better deal for the account overall - it's all about the LOC.

Mithril
Banks should be offering you prime interest for your LoC. It doesn't matter if you're a current med student or someone who will be going to med school in the upcoming year. It's prime or look for another bank.
