m1428
hey guys, was just wondering what worked best for you guys? (for the bio/phys sections) a.)did you skim the passages before hand, jotting down some notes? b.)try to understand the passages before going onto the questions? c.)or jump straight to the questions w/o looking at passage? thanks For bio, I did c then looked at the passage if really needed (for questions that require analysis of data and such). As you know, the passages contain quite a bit of unnecessary information which can cloud your judgement. Worked well for Bio... for PS, I tended to read all the passages and try to understand the general concept before looking at the questions (. Whatever works for you. obi
for both bio and ps i did A) but it started with jotting notes on my first full length. By the time i actually wrote the exam i just made mental notes.
EoE
I just tried to keep it simple. No notes, just read the passage in full and answer the questions. I read slowest on bio passages and fastest with physical sciences (for PS it was more acknowledging the information so I could reference it if the questions required it). VR I read at a healthy pace to gather the info and understand, although it was still pretty quick. I tried taking notes for VR (purpose, scope, smell, etc) and jumping into the questions on BS. Neither strategy worked for me. I did best when keeping it simple. 38Q.
thatonekid
I approached it the same way as VR. Read the passage. Make a note per paragraph (to easily refer back to the passage) and then do the questions.
