Guest vhochla
I cannot remember where, but once I read that McGill had a separate applicant pool for those who speak French. I would like to lean more about this; I am from the states, but I have studied French intensively for 8-9 years and am about to go to France to teach English at the University level. I think that I would do well in such an applicant pool, if it exists. Does anyone know about this?
Guest medicator007
G'day, Well I can honestly say that i have never heard about there being a separate category for french speaking applicants. Categories exists based on level of education: CEGEP or at least a Bachelor's, or residency: Quebec, OOP, International.
Guest aimg1
I think the school you are referring to is the University of Ottawa medical school. They have a separate French program for medicine and admissions is done separately for the French and English stream. I believe that medicine at McGill is taught only in English although French may be useful when doing rotations.
