2003 started on August 18 so I would assume it would be around the same...probably that same Monday--the 16th perhaps?

In 2002, classes started on Aug 19th (Monday) and orientation started on Aug 14th. Hope this helps!

I just consulted the McGill calendar and mandatory orientation/registration is set for August 11th with the first day of classes as suggested above being set for August 16th.
