Birdy
Send him to Quebec after Grade 11, he will be able to get in more easier. Haha. He's already bilingual so you never know! Despite his speech delays, I've always spoken French at home.

Birdy
Excellent start! The interesting thing is my son refuses to speak French, but he understands it perfectly. He starts French Immersion this fall, so that will likely change. My daughter speaks about half and half. future_doc
He will do it in his own time. He is absorbing. When I was his age and younger, I refused to speak and one day, I spoke. I started slowly in everything I ever did and eventually the ugly duckling turned into a swan.
Birdy
He struggled a lot with speech. At three, easily 95% of his speech was echolalic so he's been in ST for a long time, and that has all been English. I'm the only French-speaking person he knows, so I think the additional exposure will help. My daughter is like you. She spends lots of time absorbing, then surprises me with new stuff she has learned all at once.

Birdy
Way ahead of you there. We use the iPad in our daily lessons, and my son gets Angry Birds time as a reward for things. I'm typing on it right now, haha. One of my friends sends her son to a school that has iPads for every ASD student and they have found them invaluable.
