Thanks As far as I know, the Reference letters are a part and parcel of the OMSAS application process. Not having them would be very ill-advised. Also, one of the other threads in the Mac med area spoke of an admissions person's content during an open house in which it was mentioned that after all is said and done, reference letters are not given weight by Mac, but rather used in case of a tie.
