Look what I found...thought y'all would be interested. A complete list of individual BC Doctors and how much they billed in 2001.

To get the net income subtract 40-65% of the gross billing amount given for overhead

 

Still not too bad, (ie 278,000-139,000 = $139,000 net income but still for the years of school and lost income most business grads or law grads would clear that well before an MD is licenced to practice. And then there are the docs making 100,000 on the list after overhead that's $50,000, hell the manager at McDonalds makes 40,000!

I've know about that page for some time. It is less useful than it first appears, because they don't specify the specialty, or whether or not the person is in residency. Neither do they specify how much overhead you have to pay (it's certainly lower than 60%, approaching nada for some closely hospital-affiliated specialties).
