Soenuedo
Hey guys, I'm in the Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology Specialist at U of T, and I was wondering if any of you know how NSERC works? What are the steps into applying for an NSERC? I'm under the impression that not all prof's have NSERC funding, so we have to go around and see which prof's do, and then get in touch with them if we want to do research with them? Also, will NSERC affect your OSAP as much as other paid research such as the Sickkids Summer Program? Thanks!
shikimate
I did NSERC at CSB, and it had no impact on my OSAP funding as far as I can tell. You know you don't have to do NSERC in the department which your POST is in, you can try out different projects in different departments. My friend in LMP way back in 2nd year did a summer project in BCH department on a MGY scholarship, sounds strange, I knwo (how did he do that??).
