I just read that a 4.1/4.3 is a 34 CRU? How does that make sense? My friend applied with a 3.7/4 last year from McGill and had a 34.8 CRU. I'm very confused now. How do you calculate the CRU then?

Thanks

CRU is based on :

1.

.

2. strenght of the students in your program. (3,7/4 in dental is stronger than a 3,7/4 in biology)

That's why it's very hard to guess.

So you're more advantaged if the people in your program are stronger and there is a higher average?

You can get a higher GPA in biology than in dental. So I cannot said you're more advantaged.

And it's not sure than the average in dental is higher than in biology.

So ... it makes very complicated to guess the CRU.

So basically, it's impossible to know until you get your acceptance or rejection letter.
