A problem...

I'm currently a summer student in a research lab and am planning on applying this October.

 

I was recently told by my supervisor that my work should be published by late this fall. My concern is that this is not in time for the October application deadline.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to approach this?

 

- Can I update the med admission offices of my publication once it comes out in Nov/Dec?

 

- Can I indicate on my application that I have submitted an article for publication and am awaiting approval?

 

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
