Guest katie
Hi there My question is how do medical schools view candidates who have fast tracked through university (ie. do a three year degree in two years). Would they hold that against you? The reason for fast tracking is because I took a few years off between highschool and university and spent that time voluneering and working as a tour guide to save up money for university. Do adcoms hold this type of break in a negative light? I really just want to get moving with things before I am too old and that is why I am fast tracking, however I also don't want to kill my chances of getting into medical school. Thanks a lot everyone I really appreciate your advice Have a great Holiday everybody!!!! Katie
Guest Ian Wong
I doubt they would care. As long as your grades are all in line, and you have the academic pre-requisites, I don't think you'll be viewed any differently. Guest YongQ
Ian is right, they really don't. There are (non-Quebec) med students walking around that are 21 or younger, and there wouldn't be nearly as many of them as there are if there were a bias against doing 4 in 3, 3 in 2, 4 in 2, etc.
