Engineer dreaming to become a Doctor

Hello,

I am 25 years old. I have a BS in Computer Engineering and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the US. I always dreamed to be a doctor, but since I was an international student in US, I didn't choose to pursue medicine in undergraduate as I knew the chances are almost zero to get into a Med School in US an international applicant.

 

I became a Permanent Resident of Canada last year and then I thought there may be a chance for me to pursue the career of my dreams, now that I am a resident of Canada. After a lot of careful thinking, I realized that I at least want to be content in my mind that I have atleast put my utmost effort to pursue an MD degree.

 

I want to know if it is too late for me to pursue Medicine?? Also how would the Admissions committee consider my application??

 

I have done a lot of research about Post-Baccalaurette Pre-Medical Studies. As an engineering graduate, I have the Math, Physics, and some Chemistry requirements done. I have taken High school Biology and Organic Chemistry but not in College. Therefore, I think I can complete the Biology and Organic Chemistry pre-reqs in the next two semesters. Also I am planning to retake my Physics courses since I have lower grades in them. My BS in CompEng GPA is 3.0/4.0 and MS in ElecEng GPA is 3.4/4.0.

 

Can someone tell me exactly where I can take these classes in Canada? Or if there are any special Pre-Medical studies program that I can take to make up for my Pre-Req science courses?

 

I have been deeply thinking about this career change for a long time. But I have been having trouble taking the first step to do so. But I believe that I can commit to the study of Medicine since I have a strong interest in it. Any suggestions would be really helpful. I didn't mean to make this long message boring but I wanted to give a better picture of my situation so that someone can help me out. Thanks a lot.
