How long does it take before the interview invitations?

Anyony has any idea, how long does it take the programs to review the applications and begin sending out invitations for interview?

I am entering the second iteration, the interview period is about 2 weeks altogether.

A friend of mine went unmatched this year and she is also in the second iteration. This whole process seems variable and much less formal. She got some interviews before even submitting anything by calling the program directors directly the day of the match. For other programs she is waiting to hear. I don't think there's any harm in calling the programs up individually and making inquiries.
