Second iteration

Hi there,

I am an IMG preparing for the second iteration. I want to know, regarding the interview, has anyone had medical questions during the interview? Such as being given a case and asked to formulate a diagnosis, or suggest treatment, etc.

I have taken all three MCC exams, only it's been 3 years ago and I haven't really brushed up my Family Practice clinical knowledge since then (I have been working as a gynecologist in the mean time).

Any suggestions, anybody?

Also, what is considered a good score in MCCQEI and II? Does anybody know?

I have no idea what is considered a good score. I didn't get any content questions in interviews, although I heard of plastics applicants getting questions about pulseless limbs. The interviews in general don't focus on content. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe others had different experiences, though.

All my FM interviews were really relaxed...why FM, why is 'this' program a good fit for you, etc...I didn't get any 'knowledge' questions...

 

It's really more about you and how you would fit in, your strengths, career goals, etc...for Family Medicine at least!
