dy727
I didn't realize this, but apparently there is a significant difference between the top two. I took a look at many US schools and a lot seem to have some portion of the first 2 years covering the basic sciences (physiology, biochemistry, pathology, anatomy, public health, etc etc) with a course for each of the subjects and these are followed by clinical sciences (internal medicine, surgery) where they take courses + do rotations? Take a look at Duke's curriculum http://dukemed.duke.edu/modules/ooa_myedu/index.php?id=13 that's sooo different take a look at chicago http://pritzker.uchicago.edu/md/ whereas most canadian schools are block-based (covering each body part at once) CV block, endo block, etc etc. is there something i'm missing in terms of the history of the development of UGME curriculum i always assumed that it was 2 years of preclerkship + 2 years clerkship -- guess not really true;
