lychee
Undergrad/the application process was a bit of a rat race for me and I don't feel like that will end. I have a little bit of a background in health care so I think I'd be starting med school with a pretty clear idea of where I'm going, and that's likely as a general internist. Does anyone have any advice on what I should look into and what activities I should take on (outside of trying for good recommendations)? Research projects, interest groups, and electives all seem like the logical choices. Does volunteering in a certain area or other hobbies (sports, arts, etc) strengthen applications all around? A-Stark
But... it is nonetheless important not to assume that you shouldn't apply broadly for it either.
