tberry3
Hi all, I decided to take a year off after graduation and work full-time before applying to med school. I'm currently working as an engineer and would love to list this on my medical school application, but I'm feeling a bit awkward about choosing a verifier for that particular activity - I don't necessarily feel comfortable asking my manager (or anyone from work, really), since I can't imagine it would look particularly good for them to know that I'm essentially planning on quitting in a year (if everything works out, that is!) I'm just curious about what other people have done in similar situations. If you've included your current full-time, non-medicine-related job on your application, who did you use as a verifier? Someone from work, or someone else? Thanks!
future_doc
If you have an accountant, I guess you can give that name as your acountant has proof of the truthfulness of where you are employed during a given period.
sgt.pepper
Do you have a friend at work who could keep it a secret? The verifier probably doesnt need to be your boss.

Dr.Henderson
I've used friends and co-workers for past jobs, didn't seem to be an issue.
