Discrepancy between Major and ECs

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if it looks bad if you're involved with activities/research that are in a different scientific field than your major. For instance, if you're majoring in Neuroscience but are involved with research/ECs in genetics, will that have a negative impact on your application?

Thanks

it really does not matter, if anything it helps to show you are well rounded - ie its good to be involved in a broad range of ECs
