ok two questions:

a) is the cGPA or the prereqGPA used for admission?

B) if you are a grad student, do they take marks obtained in grad school into account or is it strictly undergrad work?

Hi there,

Your undergraduate marks are used to determine your cGPA and prereq GPA. If you've completed your MSc you get 1 extra "point", if you've completed your PhD you get 3 extra "marks".

Hope that helps, there is more information at the UofA website.

They use both the pre-req and cgpa for your admission according to the following weighting:

For Interview

Cumulative average of university years - 15

Prerequisite course average - 15

MCAT - 15

MCAT Writing Sample - 05

Personal Attributes - 20

For grad studies, the grades are considered, though I'm not sure if they are considered exclusively or not.

From the website:

"For these applicants, their graduate studies grades will be considered providing that each year in graduate studies contained a minimum of one full-course equivalent"
