carolynH
How do you feel about some of your friends asking for your MCAT materials, advice and directions as to how to fill out their med application, or MMI practice? I don't mean friends you see all the time. I mean those who never thought of you when they have gatherings, outings, birthday parties, or meet up for occasional lunch (even just at school), and the only time they call you is either for asking homework problems or med app? After all, you do give advice to people you don't know on Premed 101, would you mind doing the same for those "friends" who only use you for these purposes? NeuroPreMed
I'm not at the stage to give med advice yet, however if they are a friend I wouldn't mind helping unless it started to go overboard, they were talking to you ONLY about the helping them with their app or mcat etc.
Lactic Folly
We give advice on pm101, but it's freely accessible to lurkers + the entire internet community, not just the person who posted. It sounds like you feel resentful at being used - feel free to direct them here.

future_doc
I agree with LF. It sounds like they are crossing the boundary with you and simply tell them to go to this great website, and tell them no more. I give advice only on this forum and do not ever give advice personally. I have never been asked, the only people I see are family and med students.
