GPA Calculation

Hey guys, wonder if you could help me with something regarding GPA calculation. Does the University of Alberta weigh each year proportional to the course load when calculating GPA? I.e. if one year had more credits than another year

As far as I know they are not averaged by year. That is if you have a 3.7, 3.8, and 4.0, over 3 years they don't calculate the average of those yearly averages. Instead they calculate the average of every class from all years together from eligible years. So it would be an average of all the courses you have taken full time and not spring or summer. GL

 

Thanks. I emailed them acutally. They said they weigh the years based on courseload. A year with 18 credits won't be weighted equally to a year with 30 for example.
