starmile2829
This may have been asked before, but do people generally include elective evaluations in their application? And if so, all of them or just 1 or 2? Thanks
Laika
I don't think most people include elective evals unless specifically requested by the program. As an applicant I think they're valuable because it lets you know what the staff would say about you in a reference letter. If they include warm and enthusiastic comments and describe you as an outstanding student who would make an excellent psychiatrist/pediatrician/radiologist, I think it's a good indication. Likewise, I would not ask a staff for a letter if the elective eval was lukewarm.

Lactic Folly
Some schools don't provide many evaluation comments on the Dean's letter. A few people have thus elected to scan in their elective evaluations as extra documents. Not sure how helpful they are in that circumstance, as references are typically not shared with candidates and thus more credible. That being said, they do help you decide who to ask for a reference letter.
