babydoctor
I took ACLS just before my third year of med school and now have to do re-certification before my R1 year. I'm wondering if any of the online ACLS recert courses (like http://www.aclscertification.com) are acceptable, since I've already done the in-person initial certification and would like to save time and money on the recert (especially since I'm going into a non-clinical specialty and hope to never be running a code anyway. ). Does anyone have any insider knowledge on the online ACLS courses?
Lactic Folly
Our school offered ACLS to us free as part of incoming resident orientation. Check if yours does.
babydoctor
Our school offered ACLS to us free as part of incoming resident orientation. Check if yours does. I'd heard that some places offer that too, but I won't be able to be at my orientation so even if it's offered, I'm still out of luck and have to do it myself
japlanet
Check with your program. Mine allowed us to take ACLS anytime during the first 6 months of R1 and paid for it whenever we decided to do it.
