Specifically: -How many people were accepted off the waitlist in previous years? -Is it better to be ranked lower (ex. #5) as opposed to higher (ex. #55) -When will waitlistees usually find out if he/she is ranked really high (ex. #5) Thanks! Guest dentalapplicant Posted May 4, 2002 Report Share Posted May 4, 2002 I received the e-mail today and I got accepted!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm an OOP student. The deposit must be filled by May 24th, so they may start sending out letters from the waiting list in early June. Most schools continue to accept off of the waiting list until a week into classes. I'm not sure how many individuals are on the waiting list or how many are accepted off of it, it is probably best to call the admissions office. I believe it is best to be ranked in the low #'s (i.e. 1, 2, 3, etc.). You can probably find out your ranking by calling the admissions office. Good Luck!! I figure the only people that would decline would probably be OOPs who got accepted in their home province, and those who also got into meds. AFAIK people rarely decline U of T to go to UWO.
