Do Canadian dental schools in general require you to collect teeth like American schools? More specifically, do UofA or UofC require that?

which dental school is U of C? Do you mean UBC? I know that in the past, UofA needed teeth.

Almost all schools have to have real teeth for learning endo. Just get them from your friendly neighbourhood dentist, or convince family members to get teeth extracted. :)

well apparently at uwo there are the following requirements:

***

2 upper central incisors, 2 lower cent/lat incisors,

2 lower premolars, 2 upper premolars

(should have either two roots or two canals)

2 lower molars, 2 upper molars

(wisdom teeth unacceptable)

- teeth extracted for orthodontic reasons are not useful

as the apices are not fully developed.

The teeth should be placed in bleach for not more than 5 minutes and then washed and stored in a 10% buffered formalin solution. Do not store teeth in Bleach as this will alter the dentin...

***

I sure hope dentists keep formalin in their practice!

But it's for later, I think. Don't remember. Anyway, some of the people will bring more than needed and you can ask them to give you some... It's not that critical...
