88888888
My program has many electives and a couple of mandatory courses. Would it be smart to take most of my electives in 3rd year and push the harder required courses to 4th year (since med school do not look at 4th year grades for admissions)? WtsupDoc?
Some medical schools will look at your fourth year marks (Western for example can) and you are also assuming that you will get in your first application cycle. Why not spread them out evenly over 3rd and 4th year?
nonstop
Well if you think you're gonna screw up that fourth year then your first application cycle might be your only legitimate chance at a lot of universities. But yea, having a strong third year (optimally 4.0) can float your boat for Western.

If you don't get in after 4th year it might have helped to have an easier last two years. Anyways, I find having semesters of balanced difficulty the best. The one semester I decided to load up on what I considered "easy courses" actually backfired and was ironically my lowest semester.
