shematoma
It may be possible to get this MCAT prep material for free but it's not legal (or ethical). Tread carefully.
JohnDakota
Man, if your going to download this stuff OK. I'm not going to say go for it, but don't advertise it. It's piracy. And while Canada is pretty lax on that stuff, it's still no kosher. A mod should really remove this thread
rmorelan
you are right we should Of course this materials are out there, but this forum has to remain neutral in things.
medigeek
you are right we should Of course this materials are out there, but this forum has to remain neutral in things. 10/10 mod (srs) Piracy's an interesting debate, but pretty much all of us are guilty of it in some sense (and on endless counts as well). Anyone who says otherwise is either lying or unaware of what piracy can include.

It's not exactly ethical for publishers to charge ridiculous prices for books (and increasing prices I should add) to students who are already living a very limited budget lifestyle and/or are in debt. Goku
Was just trying to save some fellow pre-meds loads of money lol. Only good intentions here. But yea I guess stealing is stealing.

I am not sure there is much of an ethical argument there Annoyance for sure, very annoying - but unethical?
shematoma
I get the desire to steal bread from the wealthy to give to the poor, but please... if they ever identify you who are off this forum, you could jeopardize your med school future. Further, many students who are likely to benefit from pirating these books and are technically sophisticated enough to torrent them have already done so (or will figure it out for themselves). Next, I don't exactly see how the Berkeley Review is a big evil corporation fleecing ramen-eating students. They're a relatively small business and technologically unsophisticated at that. It's unfortunate that buying their books is so hard, especially from Canada, but it is what it is. At least you can sell the books after and recoup most of your money. I didn't mind waiting for my books in the mail (with a bit of pre-planning the wait is not an issue) and I was able to resell them without issues. I don't need those MCAT materials, I was just making a point. Do you buy your music and purchase DVDs? And also buy all your porn? And who is identifying who off this forum?
