Which programs should I be considering?

i don't understand this world anymore...with your stats you should've at least gotten one interview so far...did you only apply to the top 10 or did you apply broadly?

Getting an interview at US MD schools isn't a gaurantee and anything can happen. If they don't like your PS or ECs, or you dont fit their mission, doesn't matter how good your stats are.

of course, nothing is a guarantee. But i'm just saying, people apply to the states because it's easier (relatively speaking...), yet still there are so much BS going on.

Getting into the states is not any easier, it is just different. It helps for those who are very strong applicants, but just miss the cut-offs in Canada - whereby it doesnt matter if they are award winning first authors or olympians, since their ECS are not seen.

If you don't have something extra to offset lower stats (as the primary reason you aren't making it into Canada), it won't be any easier at all.

I realize I should have applied to more schools, but hindsight... I am still REALLY hoping for any love from schools in NY or Chicago, as I am a City person.

I believe my personal statement and work/activities were written very well. I submitted early to some schools and late July on others. Master's degree didn't have grade, but I did get a publication as first author. Hope that helps, any others questions feel free to PM me.

I maybe wrong, Western and Calgary need 2 years 3.7 GPA which you didn't meet. Why you still apply these two school?
