Suit set for women

Please do not take this post too seriously, as I have interviews pending and am probably just overly anxious... I just noticed in the Barron's guide to Med schools that a pant set (ie blazer and dress pants) for women is "completely unacceptable." It recommends a skirt set instead. This is very bad news for an anxious premed who had bought and planned to wear a pant set! Why on earth would anyone consider this to be unacceptable?

Great forum here.

 

I was under the impression that when interviewers ask an ethics question, that there is no "wrong" answer. Obviously, I think you should talk about all the different sides of an issue than if you have an opinion state that opinion and why you believe in it. It was my belief that no matter which side you choose, as long as you can defend your position than its alright.

 

Than recently, I was told a rumour that some schools have specific answers in mind when they ask these questions and if you choose the opposite opinion, you're kaput?

 

What are the general thoughts about this?

 

I personally don't believe in this rumour but I figured I'd ask anyway.
