Does anyone have any advice when it comes to negotiating contracts with specific District Health Authorities? I've read the MD Management modules, and the learning provided by CMA. However, contract negotiations are still a black box when it comes to a newcomer. In addition to negotiating with your DHA, has anyone attempted to negotiate with your town/city directly? I've heard of pretty competitive signing bonuses/return of service packages when you do this. What's out there? What are the fine details? What have you learned that you wish you knew the first time around? I'm in the Maritime provinces if anyone is interested but I'd like to keep this more general/process focused so that it is relevant to everyone. Thanks!
