abelign
Hey everyone, I received an email from Wayne State University School of Medicine today informing me that I've been placed in the alternate category (waitlist). The email was vague in that it didn't share any details about how the waitlist works. I'm not sure if it's ranked, nor did I receive a ranking. I'm wondering if anybody here knows anything about the Wayne State alternate category and what my chances are. Here are few important details: - I interviewed on March 24, 2014 and felt that it went really well in my opinion - cGPA = 3.94; sGPA = 3.84 - MCAT = 31 (11PS, 9VR, 11BS) I was also wondering if there is any protocol I should follow now that I'm waitlisted, i.e., anything you feel would boost my chances in ANY way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
keith_015
Sending letters stating that you are still very interested (if you really are) would be a good idea.
lazyboy
Sending them 'letter of intent' regularly and update them on anything new is quite common in US applications. It seems to keep you higher in the list.
