British/European Health Care Systems

I know that it is common to be asked to compare the Canadian and U.S. health care systems and its relatively easy to do so. Does anyone know how the canadian system compares to the british or other european systems. I believe thay are mostly similar to ours (i.e. public) but any major differences?
