Mithrandir
I'm applying for a volunteer research position during the school year and I need to submit a CV and 5 goals I have for my research experience. I'm a little worried about the CV because I have no previous research experience or awards or anything to put on it. I'm really not sure what to put on a CV? Also, what might be some good goals? Thanks for any advice:)

Thanks for any advice:) CV: - transferable skills - volunteering/work experiences (doesn't need to be related to research) - other awards? If you don't have much you can keep your CV to a page, if you have more then 2 pages. Goals: - Connections/networking - Learn what research is like - Gain experience in a professional environment - etc.
susurrous
Also make sure you do a little research on what the prof does, and tailor your email to be more personal than just "Hi, my name is lizosaurusrex, and I want to be a volunteer in your lab." Maybe some thing like "I'm really interested in your research on _____ because ______."
