Guest hmsdread Posted February 19, 2003 Report Share Posted February 19, 2003 Hey there Chieka, I'm a native Windsorite, and was a Lancer (biology) for the last four years before getting into UWO meds... what I would suggest to you, at least if you are applying to Western, is that you at least familiarize yourself with the satellite campus that is being launched in Windsor and what it will offer Western medical students. Next year, 12 clerks (3rd year students) will be doing their entire year of in-hospital work in Windsor. When my class gets to 3rd year, there will be 24 of us doing the same thing. On top of that, some students are doing one or two rotations in Windsor (primarily peds, obs/gyn and surgery, I believe). The addition of clerks and residents is going to really change the dynamic of health care delivery in our city. My advice to all Windsorites is to get to know what is going on with the satellite campus - a good interview topic, and you might even end up there in a few years! hmsdread Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
