Catalina
I'll be applying to med school in Ontario next year. I finished my undergrad degree in 2011. I have just been working since then, no school. Is this frowned upon or a disadvantage in some way compared to someone who is applying after finishing their undergrad more recently? Thanks. Falling
I don't think it is frowned upon, and there is a good chance that it will be to your benefit (more experience with interviewing, unique life experiences etc)

Absolutely no disadvantage I can think of! If anything, the extra life experience is usually an advantage.
MathToMed
Consider visiting our non-traditional forums and sharing your story! It's lonely in there. ): But there are some truly inspirational tales that keep me hopeful when I wind up stressing out in the middle of the night and can't sleep. goodyearkl
Happens all the time. I can think of at least 10 people in my class that are in the same boat as you.
dent_canada
Do you have a competitive GPA from your undergrad? If you do, then you don't really have to take additional schooling. Just take the MCAT.
